i spent the weekend reading a book. a very nice book.
there is a patient who gave me this book. he wrote it himself. abt his walk thru cancer.
he was a staff nurse before but he became a pastor afterwards. seriously he is like the nicest person you can ever find one! when he's talking to you, you cannot help but feel like you've known him forever. you want to tell him all your dirty, disgusting secrets. plus, he's like famous. haha! serious. all the staff know him. when they walked past, they go 'Hi David!'. even the relatives know him!
i joked saying that i'll sell his things on ebay. sure get lots of money one!
i cant tell you what he is in for but it seems no illness can break him down. he really puts his heart and life in his God's hands. duh. he's a pastor. but thing is, he is SO positive. it's really nice talking to him.
when he gave me his book, i practically force him to write me a personalized message. i know. im so mean. forcing a patient to do something. anyways, he spelled my name wrongly. haha.. im Jahana instead of Jannah. but nemmind. its the thot that counts.
after i read the book, i felt that i was taking life a little too granted. i told my mom i love her and that i was glad she was mine. she gave me a weird look and asked how much i wanted. as in money. i told her i dont want any but just to tell her how i feel. she said she loved me too. it never occured to me how rare she says those words. but she has always shown her love fer me in her own little ways. like waking up xtra early to send me to hougang mrt or calling me a few times and u-turning back to my school when she realized she forgot to give me my pocket money.
I LOVE MY MOMMY.
thank you, David.
